Food like bread, pasta, and potatoes all have high glycemic indexes which can significantly spike your body’s blood sugar levels. This spike tells your body to start storing fat. These British researchers found that the protein in tuna helped to slow the absorption of sugars into the bloodstream. Reasoning hints to lean cuts of chicken, beef and pork will have the same effect. So, if you start craving pasta, be sure to add lean meat to it. And please, don’t use a cream sauce.
