5 Weightlifting Video Bloopers

Here are some videos to show you what can happen if you make some common weightlifting mistakes. Sure, it’s funny and we can laugh when this happens to someone else but what if it happens to you? Could these weightlifting mishaps happen to you? Be sure not to try to lift more weight than you can handle, and if you have a spotter, make sure he or she can manage the weight their supposed to be protecting you from.

1.  The High School Squatter

Isn’t it a gimme that this kid is going to make an ass of himself?  Factor in the goofy gear and the “tampon” on the bar and you know right away this just isn’t going to end up good.  Oh, did I forget to mention the plastic looking weights on the there. Terrible.

2.  Just a kid and his fish tank.

“Ok! I’m going to set up my camera and record myself doing some curls with my shirt off.  This video is going to be so hot.  All the chicks in my freshman class are really going to want me once I casually leak the link to this vid of my buff bod.  Okay, here goes…..MOM!”

3. Yo. Can you gimme a spot?

“Hey bro, can you spot me on the bench real quick?  I’m going to try this max out real quick. I mean, I’ve probably got it all by myself but I just want a lil help on the liftoff.  Whatever you do, don’t touch the bar. I got this.”

4.  Gather Up All The Pretty Weights.

“Check it out. LEt’s get all these little sand filled weights on the bar. I’m going to impress my girlfriend.  If I can’t get it, just make it look like I got it all by myself when you go to help me lift it up.  She’s really going to be impressed.  No way will this turn out badly.  I’m sure I won’t be calling her over here to help me.”

5.  Clean. Jerk. Press. Faint.

“This is your big moment.  You can do this.  Everyone is watching. I got this. Wait! No, I don’t.  Goodnight.”
